Bio

Jack Cookson is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter from based in Devon, UK. His distinct style combines his deeply articulate lyrics with memorable melodic hooks and intricate, fingerstyle guitar arrangements, influenced by roots music from either side of the Atlantic. He has shared the stage with the likes of Ralph McTell, Franz Nicolay (Against Me!/The Hold Steady) and Cory Branan, and in early 2016 he was announced as one of the final four nominees for the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award.

In 2015, he released his self-produced debut album - Revolt & Resolve, whilst performing extensively throughout the UK. Alongside almost non-stop gigging across the UK, Europe and Canada in the 3 years since, Jack independently recorded his 6 track follow up to Revolt & Resolve, entitled Chamfer, released in April 2018. With the help of a generously supported crowdfund campaign, he was able to make Chamfer his first release on vinyl - for more information, check the music tab above.
