Stylistically influenced by roots music from both sides of the Atlantic, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Jack Cookson combines dry and visceral word play with intricate finger-style guitar arrangements in a futile attempt to sing about his feelings in a unique way. He has shared the stage with the likes of Ralph McTell, Louis Berry and Mahalia, and in early 2016 he was announced as one of the final four nominees for the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award

In 2015, he released his self-produced debut album - Revolt & Resolve, whilst performing extensively throughout the UK. Alongside almost non-stop gigging across the UK, Europe and Canada in the 3 years since, Jack independently recorded his 6 track follow up to Revolt & Resolveentitled Chamferreleased in April 2018. With the help of a generously supported crowdfund campaign, he was able to make Chamfer his first release on vinyl.
